Cheques travel both ways: the ones you write, and the ones you're handed. Each moves through a few steps, and the app shows where every one of them is, and what to do next.
Cheques you give
Rent, loan instalments, payments to people and businesses
Pending
Written and handed over. Today shows it before it falls due.
Funded
You've put money in the bank to cover it. Add funds marks the cheques it covers.
Passed
The bank paid it. Nothing left to do.
Returned
It came back unpaid. Present it again on a new date, or write it off. Every step is kept, and Undo is one tap away.
Cheques you receive
Rent, instalments, payments made to you
In hand
You have it. Today tells you when to deposit it, before it goes stale.
In clearing
Deposited, and waiting for the bank. If it takes longer than your bank usually does, you're asked to check.
Cleared
The money is in your account.
Bounced
Record the reason and the bank charges, then deposit it again, or take the payment another way.
Every morning
The questions cheques raise, answered before you ask
Open Today and the app has already worked it out: what's due, what needs money in the bank, what to deposit, and what to chase.
Will my bank have enough?
See what's due today and this week. Add funds, and the cheques they cover are marked funded.
Which cheques do I deposit today?
Deposit several at once into the right account, and get a warning before a cheque goes stale.
Did it clear?
Deposited cheques wait in clearing. If one takes longer than your bank usually does, you are asked to check.
A cheque bounced. Now what?
Record the reason and the charges, then deposit it again, take payment another way, or write it off.
Who owes what?
Every party has a ledger of cheques both ways, with a running net, like a passbook.
Rent and instalments?
Enter a whole series of post-dated cheques in one go, numbered and dated for you, and see each one coming.

Questions
Answers before you start
Is there a free trial?
Yes. 30 days of everything, with no card needed. One free trial per person.
Can I look around without signing up?
Yes. Try the demo: a private copy of the app with made-up cheques in every state. Change anything you like. It is all cleared when you leave.
Can I bring my existing cheques?
Yes. Add them one at a time, a whole series of post-dated cheques at once, or many from an Excel sheet with our template. Bringing in an export from another Cheque Tracker account comes with Business.
What happens when my trial ends?
You stay on the Free plan. You can still move your cheques along (deposit, mark cleared, record a bounce, add funds), undo, edit notes, and export everything. Adding or changing anything else needs Business.
Who can see my cheques?
Only you, signed in to your account. We do not sell your data or show you ads.
Does it work outside India?
Yes. Choose your country, and the app uses its currency, number and date format, time zone, and how long cheques stay valid there. Prices are in Indian rupees for now.
